Public Announcement

Cork Education and Training Board is a statutory public body established under the provisions of the Education and Training Boards Act 2013. The Board has commenced the process of re-constituting its Finance and Audit Committees in accordance with the provisions of that Act and also the Department of Education Circular Letter 0002 /2019 – Code of Practice for the Governance of Education and Training Boards (ETBs).

The Board now invites applications from suitably qualified persons for the following:
Finance Committee – 1 external member
Audit and Risk Committee – 3 external members

Copies of CL 0002 /2019, outlining guidance on filling of external places on these committees and conditions of membership are available on www.corketb.ie. The Education and Training Boards Act, 2013 is available on www.irishstatutebook.ie.

Applicants should make a submission setting out their qualifications and experience and interested persons should indicate on which Committee they wish to serve and outline their suitability for a position to Cllr. Gillian Coughlan, Chairperson, C/o Ms. Clare Creedon, APO, Corporate Services, Cork ETB, 21 Lavitt’s Quay, Cork. The closing date for receipt of expressions of interest is Monday 21st October 2024. Envelopes should be clearly marked private and confidential.
